How this site works
Where every number on this site comes from
We publish a figure only after reading it on the source's own page, and we show the date we read it next to the number. Legal requirements carry the statute name, a verbatim quote and a link. When we have not read something, the cell says so instead of guessing.

A figure exists only after we read it
Every price, deadline and delivery time on this site was read on the source's own page. If we could not read it, the cell says “Not verified yet” and stays empty until we can.
Every legal requirement carries its quote
A jurisdiction gets a page only when we can name the statute, quote it verbatim and link the government page it came from. That is why there are 2 pages and not 51.
The date travels with the number
A dated observation stays true forever. An undated claim about a changing world goes false on its own. So the date sits next to the figure, not in a footnote at the bottom of the page.
We never prove a negative
We do not tell you your state requires nothing. We are not in a position to prove that about 49 legislatures, and telling someone they are covered when they are not can cost them the job.
The commercial link is always labelled
When a link earns us a commission, the disclosure sits in the same view as the button, never a scroll away. You pay the same price either way, and the official source is always next to it.

Every claim above is visible on the site itself. The comparison table shows its empty cells, and each jurisdiction page quotes the statute it is based on.
